Shabu Shabu Dinner in Takasaki (Part 2 of 2)

Photos from our Shabu Shabu dinner with the ladies of Naleilehuaikapoli will be done in two parts.  (Click here to see the first post).

Jason and Ayumi

Some photos from our Shabu Shabu dinner in Takasaki with the halau, Naleilehuaikapoli.  Jason is originally from Australia but is married to a woman from Gunma Prefecture.  He helps the halau with just about everything!  He took David on a couple hikes, for fresh udon and tempura up it Mizusawa and for manju.  Ayumi is one of the Nalei dancers.  She climbed to the top of the Koko Head trail in a sundress!

Hula Dancers

Fumie, Hiroko, Chieko and Kyoko waiting for our food to arrive.

Yumiko

Yumiko is one of Kiyoko's alaka'i.  She is very sweet and takes great care of me when I am in Japan.

Hiroko

Hiroko is a Nalei dancer.  She is part of the JALPAK group that will represent Naleilehuaikapoli at the JALPAK Hula Ho'olauna festival this July.  She made beautiful leis for both of us.

Yuko

I can't say enough about Yuko - she is the best.  She is Kiyoko's other alaka'i and she is the most dependable person.  She takes great care of me in Japan too!
